MEET SHAN(NON)
Hey, I'm Shannon, though some people call me Shan thanks to my Instagram handle sticking around longer than I expected. I'm a 23-year-old photographer from the Rhondda Valleys.
My passion for photography sparked when friends and family began asking me to capture moments during nights out or holidays which was something I quickly grew to love.
Before I knew it, I found myself facing unique challenges, like editing someone out of the background of a bikini picture—a task I tackled with enthusiasm, spending hours perfecting images on my phone.
Surprisingly, those skills became essential. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, I lost my retail job just before starting university to become a Primary School Teacher.
With a basic camera, I turned to photography, shooting with friends and family. I dove into the details of running a photography business, quickly becoming proficient in Lightroom, Photoshop, lenses, and camera settings.

My favourite colour is pink!! Obviously - I have tried to grow out of it but for some reason I can’t let it go.

Quick story time, In 2023 I done a photoshoot of chocolate Labrador puppies... We now have a chocolate Labrador called Bodhi.

BIGGER THAN A BEDROOM
After shooting in my bedroom in my grandmothers house for nearly two years alongside my studies, it was time to move Photos By Shan to a new location - a garage! This lasted a few months until I found a perfect studio space based in Tonypandy. This is where I spend my time shooting and creating content for you all. I am OBSESSED with it!
